MODENA, ITALY.-Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Modena presents Viaggio leggero. Niente da perdere -Travelling light. Nothing to lose . This is the title of the first exhibition in a series of three focusing on cooperation with foreign art institutions to promote the give-and-take of knowledge, and the integration of different artistic and social realities. The exhibition will concentrate on themes dealing with the most peculiar aspects of other social systems stimulating at the same time thoughts about the Italian society and its relationship with others. The first of these initiatives takes on the correlation between creativity on the one hand and wealth or poverty on the other, between the complexities of themes the artists are facing and the ease with which they cope with them.
The Provincia of Modena, in cooperation with the National Gallery of Tirana and the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Modena presents a series of artworks showing how obstacles, risks, deprivation, limits and the lack of basic material can stimulate rather than slow down the artistic process. The selected works demonstrate that creativity born out of poverty does not necessarily make artists sad, suffering or pessimistic. The exhibition is meant to trigger a debate about the misconception that creativity is generated by uneasiness and existential dissatisfaction. The exhibiting artists are: Lumturi Blloshmi, Enrica Borghi, Robert Dragot, Bruna Esposito, Christine de la Garenne, Alban Hajdinaj, Aurelia Mihai, Stefano Romano, Anila Rubiku, and Gentian Shkurti.
