Santa Fe, New Mexico - ART Santa Fe returns in style this season with its 9th edition to be held July 23 through 26, 2009 at El Museo in the heart of Santa Fe's hottest new district, The Railyard. The champagne-tinged, high stakes world of international art fairs provide heady, glamorous fare for serious collectors and scene-seekers alike, but ART Santa Fe goes one step further. ART Santa Fe provides a total experience that includes not only a high class mix of excellent contemporary galleries from all over the globe, cutting edge art installations, and emerging artists and dealers, but does so in an utterly unique setting that offers visitors the ultimate arts and culture experience.

The atmosphere starts outside the venue with a cadre of carnival-surreal Wise Fools (the renowned theater and puppetry troupe) on hand to shepherd the public through the doors. Inside ART Santa Fe, viewers will explore the best of the art world, with participating galleries from across the United States, China, Japan, Europe, and Latin America.

Decorazon Gallery, Dallas, TXART Santa Fe's boutique style offers a perfect balance of breadth and intimacy, allowing visitors to speak to dealers and artists while experiencing a full range of art in a comprehensible context. In addition to special single-artist installation spaces, viewers will also witness a new event "How Things Are Made" presented by Landfall Press. This hands-on demonstration will show the step-by-step process of making lithographs.

Unlike other art fairs, the experience does not stop outside the doors. A series of ART Santa Fe events including Thursday night's Vernissage champagne buffet, and the Art in America party at the new LewAllen Gallery in the Railyard on Saturday are only the beginning. ART Santa Fe puts you at the center of the action, in the chic new Railyard Art District where fine art, fine dining, and the sleek new Rail Runner Express meet. The enchanting Rail Runner allows you to pop north or south to enjoy the expanded cultural offerings of Santa Fe or Albuquerque with ease.

A day at ART Santa Fe doesn't have to end with a glass of wine on the patio of one of the Railyard's restaurants. The fabled streets of Santa Fe await, with world-class dining, shopping, and music venues tucked among the light and shadows of Santa Fe's adobe walls. The world-renowned Santa Fe Opera will be performing La Traviata, the Santa Fe Chamber Music festival and the New Mexico Jazz Festival will be in full swing and the celebrated Spanish Market will be in operation downtown. Throw in an extra day to hike through piñon in the stunning Sangre de Cristo Mountains and a visitor will leave sated in mind, body, and soul. In all, 2009's installment of ART Santa Fe, July 23-26 at El Museo in the Railyard, promises to satisfy even the most discriminating visitor's every wish.

ART Santa Fe is pleased to announce ART Santa Fe 2009 Project Spaces. Spaces will be available to non-profit organizations (including museums) and galleries, for one-artist installations.

ART Santa Fe 2009 will take place July 23 - 26 at El Museo Cultural in Santa Fe, New Mexico and attracts outstanding contemporary galleries from Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Collateral events include the fair’s gala Vernissage; installations and parties; exhibitions and receptions at the city’s premier museums; and performances at the renowned Santa Fe Opera and the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival.
