PARIS, FRANCE - Galerie Albert Benamou presents Xavier Zimbardo Le Sacre des Couleurs, on view through 10 January 2008. Xavier Zimbardo is a photographer and journalist whose work has been featured in several European and international photography publications such as Zoom, Camera International, and Photographers International. The recipient of several grants and prizes, including those from the Kodak Foundation and the French government, he is the author of 'Holi', 'Made in Sarcelles, belle comme le monde', 'Visage de Paix', 'Living in the Mount Athos'.
He has had solo exhibitions of his work at museums and galleries worldwide and throughout France, including Paris. His work is on permanent display in several museums worldwide including Paris's Bibliothèque Nationale and Maison Européenne de la Photographie, Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; Southeast Museum of Photography, Florida, Centro de la Imagen, Mexico. He lives in Sarcelles, France.
The art gallery Albert Benamou specializes in European, Asian and American Contemporary art since 1987. Located in Paris, the gallery represents artists of the new realism movement (Arman, Cesar, Yves Klein), the Fluxus movement (Nam June Paik, Kudo), contemporary American artists (Ieva Mediodia, Jack Goldstein, Steve Miller), and a young generation of French artists. The Albert Benamou gallery has recently particularly focused on a new generation of performance artists: Zhang Huan, Ma Liuming, also Chinese painters Feng Zheng-Jie and Zong Biao, worldwide known photographers Wang Qingsong, Gao Brothers. Russian artists: Vlad Monroe, Blue Noses, AES+F. World reknown Japanese artist and living in France: Kimiko Yoshida.
