Sunday, 07 January 2007 12:38

Denver, CO - Wilson Adams Gallery shows Theresa Haberkorn who turns to landscape and natural imagery as a starting point for her woodblock prints. Because her creative process departs from traditional printmaking, Ms. Haberkorn discovers new ways of working she would not have found in any other manner. She has exhibited locally and nationally in juried exhibitions and galleries. In June 2006, Theresa was the artist in residence at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Her work is included in the collections of Aspen’s St. Regis Hotel, and the Vail Plaza Hotel. She teaches woodblock printmaking at the Arts Students League in Denver. Ms. Haberkorn has a BA in printmaking from the University of South Florida.
Katharine Hopkins explores questions of human experience through the creation of abstracted landscapes. This exhibition includes prints and mixed media drawings. In this series, a vast sense of space and contrasting geometric structures with organic forms evoke both a sense of restlessness and peace. Katharine will receive an MFA in Printmaking from Colorado State University in the Spring of 2007.
On exhibition January 23 and continues through March 10, 2007.
