The Gallery in Redchurch Street presents " Punctum "

LONDON - Punctum opens with an explosion of fresh ideas on moving image art; ground-breaking new art works set to challenge the position of video in the art world. Curated by The Video Art Gallery, Punctum shows video art works inspired by traditional art forms side-by-side with works on canvas and paper that have taken video art as their starting point. On exhibition November 27th - December 16th 2007.

The artists include: celebrated video and digital artist, academic and author, Chris Meigh Andrews, French artist Laurent Pernot who has recently exhibited in Barcelona (Joan Miro Foundation) Finland (Alva Aalto Museum) and Japan (Creative Centre, Sapporo) Silvia Batista who was shortlisted for the 2007 Celeste Art Prize and who has recently shown in the 700i Experimental Film Festival in Iceland; Jonathan Moss whose recent screenings include International Short Film Festival in Oberhausen Germany, and the Izolenta International Digital Film Festival, Russia; and Royal College of Art MA graduate, John Bland.

The Video Art Gallery, the UK's only commercial gallery exclusively representing moving image art. It was set up in 2007 and runs a programme of screenings, events and exhibitions across London.
