The “What Does Compassion Look Like” campaign
brings children of all ages, their parents, teachers and anyone that touches a child’s life together in an artful way, by encouraging kids to express what compassion looks like to them through drawing, painting, music, poems or dance. The work they create will be exhibited at the Susan Woltz Gallery as well as other local galleries, museums, businesses, and hospitals in April and beyond.  The artwork will also be featured at the Seeds of Compassion events April 11th-15th at Key Arena and Q’west Field.   The campaign is designed to instill the qualities of compassion through the pure and awe-inspiring ways children express themselves.

The Susan / Woltz Gallery in Pioneer Square and Gasworks Art Gallery are joining together to lead the children in this fun and creative event. Paint Dancing was created by artist Matt Jones, who opens his Gasworks Art Gallery to the public every 3rd Thursday to create art in rhythm to a variety of music.  Paint Dancing has been featured on Evening Magazine.
