Tulsa, Oklahoma – The Scott Carter Foundation will include scientist-generated art prints by Studio Frido™ in the foundation’s annual pediatric cancer research benefit auction. Studio Frido provides artistic renderings of natural and man-made objects using a patent-pending process. The founder of Studio Frido, Charles Keller MD, is a past recipient of a Scott Carter fellowship in Pediatric Oncology as well as ongoing research support. Studio Frido is privileged to give back to the Scott Carter Foundation by creating a limited edition sports art print series. Scott Carter combined his love of sports and sports memorabilia collecting with a passion for accelerating childhood cancer research. Sadly, Scott lost his battle against osteosarcoma in 1993 at the age of 13. The Scott Carter Foundation continues his mission of promoting childhood cancer research through fundraisers and the sharing of Scott's collection, which is currently on display at Disney's Wide World of Sports. Over the past ten years the Scott Carter Foundation has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for research and provided research training support for six pediatric oncology physician-scientists. Young Scott believed that if enough time, energy and money were devoted to children's cancer research, a cure could be found for this dreaded disease, the number one disease killer of children today in the United States. The Scott Carter Foundation was formed to raise money to further Scott's dream of finding that cure! The foundation is supported through private donations and a variety of fund raisers including an annual golf tournament in Tulsa, Oklahoma, funds raised on the campus of All proceeds will benefit the Scott Carter Foundation. Duke University by the Duke University Improv troupe, a 5K fun run held in Washington D.C. each spring and numerous other smaller ventures. Because the Scott Carter Foundation is operated out of the Carter's home by volunteers, almost all money raised goes toward funding research projects. A local committee including several physicians and headed by Scott's grandfather, Dr. Paul Compton, help us to evaluate where our money goes. For the most part, over the past ten years we have chosen to fund "fellowships" for young but promising physicians through the National Childhood Cancer Foundation.
