New York City - Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation proudly presents Rush Kids 2006; Words of Wisdom concurrent exhibitions of art created by students participating in Rush Education Programs, during the 2006-2007 school year. It has been said that a picture is worth a thousand words, yet it seems that the most powerful and engaging imagery can be derived from several simple words or phrases that incite personal pride and ideas of community. Rush Teaching Artists have developed contemporary art projects around the theme Words of Wisdom during the 2006-07 school year.

These exhibitions will include drawing, painting, collage, sculpture, quilting, photography, weaving and video animation from all Education Programs including: Rush Kids Intensive Saturday morning art making workshops at Chelsea and Clinton Hill; Rush Gallery in the School at P371K and P.S.11; D-Stress at The Friends of Island Academy; and from the Positive Focus parents Program at P371K. Also included in Words of Wisdom will be painting, murals and puppets created for Rush “Crown Yourself” Programs, Anheuser-Busch founding sponsor.
