Philadelphia, PA - Pentimenti Gallery opens From a Thousand Pages..., a group show on Friday November 2. There will be a reception for the artists on Friday evening from 6 – 8:30. The show will run through December 15, 2007. 3 artists will show paintings and works on paper in this exhibition. All of the exhibiting artists incorporate collage in their work. For some it is the subject, for others it plays an obvious role. For all, it is a defining element.

Towers in the Project Room. Rebecca Rothfus’s work explores the peculiar appeal of the towers as they rise out of ambiguous settings. Rothfus will show 7 drawings on paper.

The works are from 10 x 10 inches to 30 x 22 inches in the medium of pencil, gouache on paper. Rebecca Rothfus was born in Pittsburgh, PA. She graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (BFA) and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts / Tufts University. She exhibited at the Ukrainian Institute of Modern Art, Chicago; Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago; and more.
