SITTARD, THE NETHERLANDS - Museum Het Domein presents Chinergie - China Summer Show, on view through September 2, 2007. It is about 40ºC or hotter in Guangzhou in August. Museum Het Domein therefore offers 'cool' refuge to the Chinese with Chinergie – China Summer Show. This series of exhibitions, events, and presentations came into existence through the synergy of Vitamin Creative Space and Museum Het Domein and it will be the cause of quite some extra heat!

The Chinese artist Liang Shuo (Tianjin, 1976) exhibited little frivolous ceramic figurines during the Guestroom #3 in January 2006. Equally naughty, but much more moderate, is the video piece 'Letter to my wife and letter to my lover' (2005) that he donated to the Museum Het Domein. In the context of Chinergie – The China Summer show, the piece is now on display in Sittard for the first time, and will be illustrated by a small publication.

    About Het Domein
Museum het Domein is a relative young museum for contemporary art and urban history and archaeology. A museum that takes a lively, creative, and idiosyncratic approach to presenting the history of its region and its city, and current developments in international contemporary art. Museum Het Domein is located in a former nineteenth-century municipal school in the historic centre of Sittard.
