'Botanical Language' by Mary Beth Koeze and Kim Kauffman

Chelsea, MI - River Gallery Fine Art presents two outstanding mid-career Michigan artists join River Gallery’s sparkling 2007 exhibition roster.  The painter Mary Beth Koeze and photographer Kim Kauffman present their interpretations of regional botanical life.  Mary Beth will be presenting new work, continuing on her well established path of the luminous and sensual, while the technically astute photographer Kim Kauffman offers something unique in her photo collages created from multiple scans of original and often familiar botanical material.

Spring Cycle - KauffmanUp through the month of March this exhibition is certain to enliven your senses, and reach that place in your mind and memory that knows the language of nature. On exhibition March 3 – March 31, 2007.

River Gallery Fine Art - a fine art gallery located in historic downtown Chelsea, has recently completed a 3200 square foot renovation of a two story 1898 Main Street building.

Since the inaugural show in the new site in June of 2004 the gallery has hosted a memorial exhibition for the painter Gerome Kamrowski and exhibitions of new work by established Michigan artists, including Tom Nuzum, Richard Fairfield and Robert Throne.

In the summer of 2005 the gallery hosted its first regional competition, juried by Sean Ulmer, curator of collections and exhibitions of the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art.
