Lucian Freud Blond GirlLONDON - This exhibition presents a survey of 20 years of Lucian Freud’s prints. Featuring some of his most important and interesting work in the medium.

Lucian Freud has a mastery of etching which can be seen in each of his prints, his varying applications of the technique always appropriate to the subject.  With a subtle fine line Freud can capture all the nuances of a fleshy naked body and he can etch and ink an entire plate with such virtuosity that not a vein on a leaf is missed in a garden.

Freud’s etchings have been the subject of many museum exhibitions and can be found in many public and private collections around the world.

Archeus specializes in British and International Contemporary Art, with an emphasis on established artists who have genuine influence - "blue chip" artists.

The emphasis of our exhibitions alternates, and whereas museum-quality work by important British Post-War artists such as William Scott is continually championed by the gallery, we also offer an opportunity for visitors to view international work that is difficult to see in this country.  Regular visitors to Archeus would have been rewarded in recent months by the works of Andy Warhol, Yves Klein, Ellsworth Kelly, Donald Judd and Dan Flavin as well as a survey of Minimalist Art.
