Lladró New Collection 'Season in Bloom'

New York, NY - Beginning on April 25 through May 7, Lladró celebrates the introduction of its new collection Season in Bloom with The Flower Artist Tour, a series of events taking place at thirteen locations across the U.S. and Canada. Each event consists of a flower making demonstration by artisan Carmen San Rafael Peyró from The City of Porcelain in Spain, where all the Lladró sculptures are made. Attendants will benefit from the unique opportunity to meet a trained and experienced Lladró artisan and learn first hand the techniques of making the porcelain flowers.
 
With the arrival of spring, flowers become the main protagonist in nature. The beauty of this season inspires Lladró’s new pieces: A Walk Through Blossoms, Blossoming Tree and the limited edition sculpture Sweet Scent of Blossoms (limited edition of two thousand pieces), which form the Season in Bloom collection. The three sculptures are made in glazed porcelain and classic Lladró colors. The large bunches of flowers are modeled petal by petal, engraved and sculpted from molds. Attendants to these exclusive events will be able to preview the collection and acquire the first numbers of the limited edition sculpture, which are valuable treasures for Lladró collectors. Also, as a gift with any Lladró purchase, attendants will receive The Artful Flower  book, a beautiful guide to the world of flowers.
 
 Porcelain flowers are among the most symbolic elements in Lladró’s works of art. They are also the most delicate and difficult parts in the process of creating the sculptures, handcrafted entirely in Lladró’s atelier in Spain. There, a group of artisans are exclusively dedicated to create with their hands, petal by petal, more than one hundred different kinds of porcelain flowers.
