Chicago, IL – A show of contemporary artworks de-accessioned by The Staubach Company opens Saturday November 11th at the Johnsonese Gallery in Bucktown. The artworks will be available for view and purchase through December 2nd. Included is a limited edition, signed serigraph by LeRoy Neiman, probably the most popular living artist in the United States. Also featured are works by watercolorist Kurt Sala, Chicago architectural illustrator Gil Gorski, Czech painter Rudolf Svehla and Icelandic master printmaker Valgerdur Hauksdottir. Additional included artists are Andrews, Casler, Godwin, Kupferman and Seidenberg. The show further includes paintings, prints and photographs of specific interest to Chicagoans.
“This show will be a unique opportunity to acquire artworks that have gone through a corporate vetting process,” said Johnsonese Gallery director Christopher Johnson. He added, “Much of this collection is from the 1980’s and I think 80’s art is on the cusp of moving from dated to retro. There is a look to 80’s art—think big, bright and bold. And this collection certainly lives up to that."
The Johnsonese Gallery is a fine arts gallery in Chicago that features the work of emerging artists in a wide range of media. Johnsonese also provides art consulting services to businesses and design professionals. For further information, contact : www.johnsonese.com
