Thursday, 11 October 2007 23:49
London - Eyestorm Gallery is pleased to present an exhibition of new work from Argentinean contemporary artists, in collaboration with two prestigious galleries in Argentina: Gachi Prieto Arte LatinoAmericano Contemporáneo and Braga Menendez Contemporáneo with the coordination of Inés Etchebarne & Sebastian Alderete. On Exhibition 18 October until 9 November, 2007.
Buenos Aires is becoming a well recognized city thanks to its architecture, its wines, gourmet food, tango, literature of writers such as Borges and Cortazar, Piazzola s music, its hospitality and its art. Argentinean art history is generous in personal narratives, and extremely rich universes charged with subjectivity.
Angie Davey from Eyestorm says: “This is a great opportunity for collectors to see high quality work that they may not have otherwise been able to view unless they travelled to Buenos Aires. Eyestorm are proud to be bringing Argentinean artists into the limelight in London and be a part of furthering the careers of these highly talented individuals.”
BUENOS AIRES ART FOR EXPORT gives us a sense of the refined textures and the deep socio conceptual questionings of Andres Waissman´s Multitudes, the barroc poetry of Juan Martin Juares, the strength of the space on Chino Soria´s works, Carla Bertone´s cromatic purity, the sordid humor of Carlos Herrera and the implicit literature of Maria Noel. Sophistication is represented in Josefina Robirosa´s strokes, the cryptic and unsettling intelligence of Leonel Luna, the trash tenderness of Claudia del Rio´s collage characters, the psychoanlitic metaphysics of Nessy Cohen´s mental stages, the incredible colour and the strangement of Miguel Mitlag´s photo/installations. The extremely personal pictorial quality is represented in the work of Claudia Mazzucchelli, the poetic and humanistic reflexions of Sebastiano Mauri´s projections and the enchantment associated aesthetically to the vitality of miracle or magic of Rafael Gonzalez Moreno. All of these young and fourth coming artists from Argentina, present their new works at the Eyestorm gallery, London.About Eyestorm
