Janvier and Gustaf: " Together " at Brevard Museum

Melbourne, FL – The Brevard Museum of Art and Science is pleased to present the exhibition Janvier and Gustaf : Together. Whimsical sculptures and painterly still lifes define an artistic life and partnership for Vero Beach artists Jan(vier) and Gus(taf) Miller. The exhibition contains ten years of inspired creativity.

Jan Miller’s exuberant paintings brim with life. Inspired by artists’ such as Cezanne and Matisse, Miller’s brushstrokes are forceful and spontaneous.

Gus Miller’s quiet, wry humor takes shape in abstract wooden sculptures, geometrical paintings, and terra-cotta sculptures. Gus likes abstract work because it encompasses the panorama of the last 50 years of art history. In art and in life, these two generate charming beauty.
