Melbourne, FL – Artist books and prints by Robert Mueller will be on display at The Brevard Art Museum (BAM) from November 16 through January 6, 2008. Robert Mueller’s artwork springs from his experiences backpacking through remote regions of Iceland. Mueller reveals, “The physical, mental and emotional exertions encountered by walking over this terrain…became a series of events mapping out a corresponding structure to my inner self.”
Carting large handmade field books, Mueller recorded the landscape and his response to it. Mueller's work involves literal and figurative work on maps. Mueller is an associate professor at the University of Florida, Gainesville, and the technical director of Alagarto Press.
BAM in partnership with the Eau Gallie Public Library will host free Docent-led Tours of Mueller’s exhibition at 11 am on Friday, November 29, December 6, and December 13. The tours will be free to library patrons with proof of an active library card.
