    Chicago, IL -A Cross-Cultural View of Women in the Arts, at Aldo Castillo Gallery the work of 11 female artists who have gained national recognition in their homeland and have expanded their careers internationally. Their work concentrates on documenting the human condition that crosses cultural boundaries. Issues addressed in their work include animal and human rights, the needs of impoverished children, over population, pollution, violence, etc.

    Sensitive to the struggle female artists have endured in the past in which men received more recognition within the arts, the Aldo Castillo Gallery pays tribute to the important development of women in the visual arts.

    Invited artists are: Kim Von Arx (Norway), Sonya Radameyer (South Africa), Maria Jose Fort (Uruguay), Maya Kulenovic (Canada), Magdalena Fernandez (Spain), Diane Thodos (USA), Lorna Marsh (South Africa), Maria Cristina Arria (Venezuela), Maribel Portela (Mexico), Sydia Reyes (Venezuela), and Gretchen Minnhaar (Argentina).

    The Aldo Castillo Gallery - 233 W. Huron, Chicago, IL 60610 - is a leader in art investment, exhibition, education and Cultural Tourism.
