London.- The Watercolours + Works on Paper Fair is pleased to announce that they will be returning the Science Museum in South Kensington, London from February 2nd through February 5th 2012. The 2012 fair brings together an impressive range of art on paper exhibited by leading art dealers from across the UK. This eclectic and lively fair presents all types of art on paper from the 16th Century to the modern day. Works include original drawings, watercolours, prints, photographs and posters, all of which are for sale with prices starting at £500 rising to £100,000. The fair gives visitors the chance to view new, contemporary talent alongside works by well known artists from earlier eras shown by Guy Peppiatt Fine Art, Wolseley Fine Arts and Elizabeth Harvey-Lee, for example.
Visitors can also learn from all the dealers who are present, and willing to share their expert knowledge, such as Philip Athill from Abbott & Holder and John Robertson. The fair features around 60 galleries, many returning from previous years and others participating for the first time. Among the newcomers, Singapore based ASAL Partners are bringing the work of contemporary Asian artists, and Kendalls Fine Art are presenting marine art by living artists. One of the acknowledged strengths of this fair is the rigorous vetting process. A committee of ten art experts check the authenticity and value of every work. Visitors can genuinely buy with confidence. There is no need to ask the price as it is compulsory for all exhibitors to clearly display a price with every item. The outcome of this vetting process is a tightly focused Specialist Fair showing high quality original works.
