Wolfgang Roth & Partners to Host A Graffiti and Street Art Camp

MIAMI, FL - Our Graffiti and Street Art Camp, held at Wolfgang Roth & Partners Fine Art will host an exciting new program. A wide variety of materials will be used and we have one teacher and two assistants for our 15 campers, providing personalized attention to the needs and interests of each student. We will have guest artists and video presentations. Artists such as Keith Haring, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Andy Warhol, and other local artists will serve as inspiration for some of the activities.

Very little criticism has been done examining the work produced by Jean-Michel Basquiat. While his place in the history of American art is still under review, it cannot be denied that during the eight years that he painted, his work is now known worldwide. Basquiat began to spray painting cryptic aphorisms on walls & subway trains around lower Manhattan. His work will be studied at a Graffiti and Street Art Camp for youngsters ages between ages 5 - 9 in Florida.

Within the curriculum, kids will learn color theory, composition and other techniques.  We will take a field trip to see the wonderful murals in the Wynwood neighborhood, and also learn how to make a murals ourselves. The camp will conclude with an exhibition hung by the students, which the parents will be able to visit on the last day.

The first camp session for children between ages 5 to 9 will be held July 12 – 16. The camp will be held at our large, bright Gallery in the heart of Miami's Design District from 9 am to 3 pm daily. A daily recess will be included so kids can burn off some steam!

The $300 fee includes all supplies and materials as well as two snacks and organic lunch daily provided by our talented Chef Richard!
