Larry Holloway Retrospective at Beaver Street Gallery

Flagstaff, AZ - From June 4 through August 14, 2010, Beaver Street Gallery will host a retrospective exhibition of the work of Larry Holloway entitled, "Dream In... Dream Out". The show features a selection of work representing over 35 years of the artist's photography, experimental cinema and original music. The artist has worked in various media environments and has taught photography courses at Boston College, the Academy of Art College in San Francisco, the University of Arizona, and Pima Community College in Tucson and filmmaking courses at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff.

After completing his M.F.A. in Photography at the University of Arizona in 1983, the artist has continued to develop his personal art using photography, film/video and music as the main ingredients. He creates original music compositions for his experimental films and sometimes integrates these mediums to produce installation works and performance pieces. He has also performed solo keyboards and drums live with several of his experimental films and collaborated with other artists on a variety of projects.

Larry Holloway is also a recipient of an Individual Artists Fellowship for artistic excellence from the Arizona Commission on the Arts. His work has been shown in over 35 exhibitions in numerous galleries and museums throughout the United States, including the Marcuse Pfeiffer Gallery in New York and the Center for Creative Photography at the University of Arizona in Tucson.
